Appraiser
The Office of Assessment Services provides statutory services to a number of municipalities within Kenosha County through an independent contractual agreement between the Village and each community.
The Appraiser position is a full-time, exempt, professional position within the Village of Pleasant Prairie Office of Assessing Services. This position will be engaged in various appraisal activities and requires the ability to act independently in both judgment and performance of their duties. The Appraiser position shall perform the activities of the job in accordance with State of Wisconsin and Village guidelines with the final product subject to review by the Director. This position is regularly scheduled Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Requirements - educational, certifications and experience – Appraiser I
- Associate Degree in Real Estate, Business, Mathematics or other related field, Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience establishing property values for taxation purposes in a governmental office or performing mass appraisals in an appraisal firm. • Certification by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue as an Assessor 1 within three months of hire.
Requirements - educational, certifications and experience – Appraiser II In addition to Appraiser I
- Certification by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue as an Assessor 2 within three months of hire.
- 3+ years of experience establishing property values for taxation purposes in a governmental office or performing mass appraisals in an appraisal firm.
Salary Range
Appraiser I: $60,384.00 - $83,844.00
Appraiser II: $73,440.00 - $101,184.00
