The Baseball Field Maintenance Worker position is a part-time, seasonal role within the Village of Pleasant Prairie’s RecPlex Athletics and Recreation Department. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with the daily operations of baseball field rentals and support the maintenance for all fields. This position is expected to start in mid-April and go through to the end of July. Hours will primarily be Friday – Sunday; weekday evening and holiday hours may also be required.

Job Duties Include:

• Effectively operates the Sand-Pro machinery to drag and prep baseball fields for various tournaments.
• Serves as point of contact during ballfield tournaments.
• Uses manual maintenance equipment such as shovels, rakes and chalkers to perform general maintenance on ballfields.
• Determines whether fields are playable due to field conditions.
• Ensures that trash cans are emptied, and products are stocked at the fields, in bathrooms, and concessions during tournaments.
• Participates in and may assist with scheduled in-service trainings and staff meetings.
