The Head Swim Coach is a full-time, exempt position within the Village of Pleasant Prairie RecPlex Aquatics Division of the Recreation Department. Under the general supervision of the Director of Recreation Programming, this position is responsible for the overall management and program development for the Pleasant Prairie Patriots (PX3) Swim Team. This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week and has a flexible schedule but will require regular weekend and evening availability based on programming and supervision needs.

Some of the job duties include:

• Oversees all aspects of daily swim team operation in support of swimmers, membership, team mission, and values.
• Organizes quality swim and dryland practices and implements athlete development and training plans.
• Supervises, schedules, and hires all Age Group Swim Coaches for respective practices and swim meets and ensures proper employee coverage; fills in as a coach when needed.
• Manages swim team budget; and conducts evaluations of the program and assesses effectiveness and makes recommendations to leadership regarding programming changes or enhancements.
• Schedules swim meets, hosts swim meets at the RecPlex, and submits championship meet bids
