The Baby U/ Preschool U Assistant Teacher is a part-time, non-exempt position in the Youth Department and reports to the Youth Services Assistant Manager. The primary purpose of the Baby U/ Preschool U Assistant Teacher is to provide a safe environment for children participating in the program. The primary responsibility is to provide a safe, positive and enjoyable environment for participants while interacting in a pleasant and professional manner. Baby U / Preschool U hours run Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with schedule availability either for AM (7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) or PM (12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.) shifts or some full-day shift options available. Some evenings and occasional weekends may be required for events/training.
