The Summer Camp Special Needs Caregiver is a part-time position in the Therapeutic Recreation Department at the RecPlex. The primary purpose of this position is to provide a safe environment and supportive care for children and adults participating in the Summer Day Camp program. You will be responsible for providing a safe, positive and enjoyable environment for participants while interacting in a pleasant and professional manner. Job duties include the following:

• Providing necessary daily care needs to program participants including lifting, feeding, bathroom needs, exercise and communication.
• Daily attendance tracking.
• Lead program activities such as arts and crafts, group games, and group swimming.
• Ensure program policies, guidelines and safety procedures are followed.
